The Schehr Law Future Advocates Award

The law practice of Schehr Law, PLLC serves the community of Charlotte, North Carolina by representing clients for personal injury cases, immigration law, criminal law, and more. We work hard for our clients and fight for justice on their behalf. We value the relationship formed with a client and we care about the outcome of every case as it will affect our client. Working with clients directly is our passion and we are available to take calls and answer questions for our clients as well as have face-to-face meetings whenever needed. There are many attorneys to choose from, and we are honored to serve every client that chooses us to represent them.

At Schehr Law, PLLC we feel strongly about our commitment to support the next generation of students. We are inviting students to participate in our $1,000 scholarship essay program. We know that affording school is difficult for many students and we are committed to assisting where we can. To that end, we are in search of a deserving student to support with our scholarship. Participants should be driven in their field of study and be of good character. We are looking for a student that has plans to serve others with their future career. Submit your essay for a chance to be selected for the scholarship! 

Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students as well as high school seniors and students who possess a GED who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.

• The scholarship applicant must be working toward a career with goals to improve the lives of others and show that commitment in their essay.

• All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above.

Essay Prompt & Questions
Respond to the following prompt and questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:

• Describe a time to you had a positive impact on someone’s life.

• How do you plan to use your education to improve people’s lives?

Required Application Materials: 

• Current resume in PDF format

• Essay: 1,000-word maximum. Visual creativity encouraged.

• Current, unofficial transcript.

Submission Deadline: Friday, December 31, 2024

All application materials must be submitted by the above date.

Award Announcement: January 2025

Award Amount: $1000
