Schehr Law PLLC (“Schehr Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect when you visit schehrlaw.com (the “Site”), how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you submit a contact or free-consultation form, or use our “Ask the Attorney” feature, we collect the details you choose to give us — such as your name, email address, phone number, and the description of your situation. If you use the “Ask the Attorney” location check, we also collect the approximate location you provide, either the ZIP code you enter or, only with your permission, the general location reported by your browser. We use this to confirm whether your matter is within the areas we serve; we do not use it to track your precise movements.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider and security services automatically log basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view. This helps us keep the Site secure and working properly.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we may be able to help with your matter;
- To contact you about your request by phone, email, or text;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site; and
- To meet legal, regulatory, or professional-responsibility obligations.
Submitting a form or a question does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing. See our Disclaimer for more.
Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies
We keep our use of cookies and similar technologies limited. Your light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your own browser and is not sent to us. To protect our forms from spam and abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a token and process limited technical data as described in Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
We also use Google Analytics (GA4), a web-analytics service from Google, to understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage information — such as the pages you view, how you reached the Site, your approximate location, general device and browser details, and interactions like tapping a phone-number link. Google processes this information under its own Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, we do not serve third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal information.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Site and respond to you — for example, with trusted service providers who host the Site, deliver email, or provide spam and security protection, and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or the integrity of the Site.
Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, to provide legal services, and to meet our legal and professional obligations.
Third-Party Links
The Site may link to other websites we do not control, such as our social media profiles or review pages. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your Choices
You control what you send us — you can use the Site without submitting a form. If you would like us to review, update, or delete the personal information you have provided, contact us using the details below and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after any change means you accept the updated policy.
